MFA Furniture Design

...For Now

Eriq Wities is a designer, educator, maker, and parent.

I’m interested in furniture objects that earn their presence through use, structure, and clues of their construction. My work is rooted in the intersection of functional modernism and material intimacy. Driven by an obsession with high craft and an earned sensitivity to medium, I’m drawn to objects that feel inevitable yet unresolved, where comfort is precise rather than indulgent and restraint invites character and specificity to emerge over time.
