Observer Performer

Feeds demand a constant stream of information, rewarding speed, legibility, and replication. At once, users oscillate between observer and performer, negotiating when to become perceptible and when to disappear in an increasingly hostile network culture.

"Observer Performer" investigates how we might stage ourselves under conditions of surveillance, precarity, and noise. To observe is to trace relationships across excess information by filtering images, parsing texts, and aggregating search results. To perform is to reenact this assemblage, framed within a new interpretation. Through these roles, I reclaim my agency within systems that control the dials of visibility.
