Careful Looking

My practice holds space for the deeply complicated reflections from being in relation to myself and my community that consistently bloom from intimacy, desire and grief. As a classically trained dancer my embodied devotion grounds me in using photography to consider how the camera acts as a facilitator of care, vessel of empathy and protector of the soul—tender and bare. Careful looking is love in action. The hope through any encounter is the photograph that bleeds closer to the heart. We know the work of seeing is never finished.
