Digital + Media
DEPARTMENT HEAD
Shawn Greenlee
Digital + Media: Art, Technology and Emergent Practices operates at the nexus of art, science, technology and critical theory. This year’s graduating D+M students with work in the Grad Show each explore distinct subject matter representing interdisciplinary research methodologies and a range of creative strategies that interrogate the social, psychological, and cultural consequences of ubiquitous or emerging technologies (digital or analog). Informed by the fields of art, media theory, cultural studies, and social sciences, D+M thesis projects take a variety of forms including expanded cinema, performance, installation, sound, interactive and kinetic sculpture, experimental game design, and more.
